2022 Taste of Hamburg-er Festival Contests
Beefcakes & BBQuties Costume Contest
Sponsored by Deitsch Eck Restaurant
All participants should be at the WEEU Live Broadcasting Remote located at the corner of State Street and Peach Alley no later than 12:30 pm to register. Contest begins at 12:35 pm. A guided parade will occur after the contest for any interested participants to show off their costumes/outfits. Age Groups: 0-4, 5-9, 10-14, 15-20, and 21+.
Rules:
- No full face masks
- Must be related to the hamburger theme
- Costumes/Outfits must be appropriate and family-friendly
- May enter as an individual or a group
- Judging will be done via audience applause and/or cheers
Best Burger Awards
This category is only open to participating burger stands. Awards are given in four categories – Best Restaurant/Caterer Burger, Best Organization/Non-Profit Burger, Best Concession Trailer/Mobile Unit Burger, and the “Newbie Award”. Judging takes place on the side of the Windsor Press building located at the corner of Peach Alley and State Street.

• 12 noon: Organizations category sponsored by Kay Greenawalt, State Farm Insurance
• 12 noon: Concession Trailer category sponsored by Theodore E. Dando, DMD
• 1 pm: “Newbie” category sponsored by Muller Rare Coins & Fine Jewelry
Cow Decorating Contest
Sponsored by Good Shepherd Physical Therapy
Located at the corner of 4th and State Street
Decorate and take home your own wooden cow lawn ornament. For those that would like to participate in the contest, judging will begin at 4 pm. $5 per cow
All day event, or until cows are gone.
Dine & Dash Burgers and Trail Race – Blue Mountain Wildlife Inc.
Race begins with eating a burger, followed by a 1-mile run, eating another burger and running a mile back to the finish line. Registration begins at 10 am at 2nd and State Streets. Race begins at 10:30 am. Registration includes 2 burgers and a free t-shirt. Cost is $30 and is limited to the first 50 applicants. Pre-registration can be completed on www.bluemountainwildlifestore.com/dine-dash-1.
Mooing Contest

All participants should be at the WEEU Live Broadcasting Remote located at the corner of State Street and Peach Alley no later 11:45 am. Contest begins at 12 pm. No pre-registration necessary.
Professional Hamburger Eating Championship
Begins at 3:30 pm at 222 State Street. Join the excitement as nationally renowned professional eaters vie for the 2022 championship. Contestants will chow down as many Red Robin gourmet burgers as they can in 10 minutes’ time for a chance to win $1,000. Will anyone beat the record of 22 burgers consumed? A limited number of competitive eaters allowed. All participants must be registered no later than Friday, August 26. Click here for the rules and registration form.
