2025 Taste of Hamburg-er Festival Contests
All Star Hamburger Eating Competition
Sponsored by Copperz Brewing Co. and Red Robin
Test your hamburger eating skills and compete for the title! This year’s hamburger eating competition is open to all. The competition begins at 3:30pm at the State Street Square stage. Dine & Dash Burgers and Trail Race – Blue Mountain Wildlife Inc.
Race begins with eating a burger, followed by a 1-mile run, eating another burger and running a mile back to the finish line. Registration begins at 10 am at 2nd and State Streets. Race begins at 10:30 am. Registration includes 2 burgers and a free t-shirt. Cost is $35 and is limited to the first 50 applicants. Best Burger Awards
Sponsored by Peach Tree Cremation Services LLC.
This category is only open to participating burger stands. Vendors will compete to win awards in the following categories: Best Taste, Best Appearance, Originality, and Grand Champion. Judging begins at 11:00 am and takes place inside 76 S 3rd St at First Reformed UCC.
Cow Decorating Contest

Located at the corner of 4th and State Street
Decorate and take home your own wooden cow lawn ornament. For those that would like to participate in the contest, judging will begin at 4 pm. $5 per cow
All day event, or until cows are gone.
Mooing Contest
All participants should be at the Savory “Moosic” State at State Street Square, 222 State Street, by 1:45 pm. Contest begins at 2 pm. No pre-registration necessary. One winner for each age group; 14 and under age group and a 15 and over age group. The winners will receive 2 Hamburg Strand “Moovie” passes and $25.
“You Lucky Duck” Contest
